Our Aurora Founders
Jordan is born and raised central Albertan that grew up playing sports, fishing, camping and exploring the outdoors. Jordan values the time spent with family and believes that the memories made during these outdoor adventures will be cherished for years to come. He emphasizes customer experience within all aspects of Aurora Fish Farm and looks forward to seeing you out around the ponds.
Terry grew up on the farm and naturally acquired a love for nature. He was the driving force behind the construction of the first pond due to a high school project and carried that passion to Lakeland College where he attained his diploma in Fish and Wildlife. After operating various camping resorts in Alberta, eventually dug the rest of the ponds with his brother Greg and his father Gerry. Since then he has purchased the family farm where Aurora Fish Farm and Lily's Ponds and Campground operates today.
Aurora Fish Farm named our hatchery after an old community school that was located just a few miles south of us as well as the phenomenon, aurora borealis, that we are lucky enough to experience throughout Alberta.
Now at the old school site stands the Aurora Community Hall. Available to rent for indoor and outdoor activities, showing the strong sense of community spirit and togetherness throughout the area.
